Having your message spread around can be a very important task, and having it done properly is even more important. We'll tell you how you can do it successfully.

When sending an email to a large amount of contacts, there are several things to take into account such as file size, layout and spam filters. The benefit of sending an E-Blast in HTML format, means that:

  • You're not clogging bandwidth sending a large image, as all images are linked from your website
  • There's text in the email, which assists in getting your message past spam filters
  • The text is editable when needed

How to send the E-Blast when received as HTML file

Double click the html file on your computer. The E-Blast will open in your default browser (usually Internet Explorer). Once you can see your card, go to the 'Edit' menu, and click 'Select All' or you can just press Ctrl + A. Once everything is highlighted, choose 'Copy' from the Edit menu (Ctrl + C), then open a new mail message, and simply paste it straight in.

This copies all HTML formatting straight into the email. All you need to do then, is set your subject, change any text you'd like changed and send it to your desired contacts.

How to send the E-Blast when received as an email

When you receive the E-Blast from us as an email and are ready to send it on, press the 'Forward' button on your email client. You'll notice that the subject changes to include a 'FW:' and some extra text appears in the email. To have the email ready to send, you need to do two things. Firstly, select the subject, and rewrite it with what you'd like your recipients to see. Once that has been done, within the body of the email, select all of the extra writing above the eblast (usually it will say something like 'From: Sent: To: Subject'), and hit delete, so that you can only see the E-Blast content.

Once you've completed these two steps, you're ready to send your email to your desired contacts.
